Road safety is an issue that affects us all, whether you drive a car, ride a motorbike, catch a bus or walk.
Even experienced drivers or the most safety-conscious pedestrians can be involved in a road crash due to the actions of others.
We’re urging everyone to Look Out For Each Other so collisions can be prevented.
We’re working with the police, fire brigade and other emergency services to help reduce casualties, but we really need the support of you, the public.
Remember…
- Take a second longer to look – especially for bikes
- Stay within the speed limit
- Slow down in busy areas
- Don’t rush
- Stay focused
- When driving, turn mobile phones off
- If drinking, leave the car keys at home
- If walking, take a second longer before stepping out into the road
